INDEPENDENT SPENT FUEL STORAGE INSTALLATION PHYSICAL SECURITY PLAN (TAC NOS. M94123 AND M94124)
Dear Mr. O'Hanlon:
This acknowledges the receipt of your letters of November 8, 1995 and April 4, 1996 which transmitted revisions to the Surry Power Station Units 1 and 2 Physical Security Plan.
Issues related to the exemption to use hand geometry biometric access control equipment are considered a policy issue and therefore are reviewed by the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.
Our review of the changes has found them to be consistent with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p) and appropriate for inclusion into the plan.
Accordingly, these revisions do not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the security plan and require no NRC approval.
The enclosure to your letter contains Safeguards Information and is being withheld from public disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 73.21.
