VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY SURRY POWER STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 Serial No.96-245 NL&OS/JDH RO Docket Nos. 50-280/281 50-338/339 License Nos. DPR-32/37 NPF-4/7 NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 CONVERSION TO IMPROVED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS On November 20, 1995, Virginia Electric and Power Company advised the NRC of its intent to convert the Technical Specifications for the North Anna and Surry Power Stations from their present form to that of the improved Standard Technical Specifications (NUREG-1431, Rev. 1 ). Since that time, a conversion project has been initiated. Submittal of the proposed North Anna license amendment is scheduled for February 1997. Submittal of the proposed Surry license amendment is scheduled for February 1998.

Mr. C. I. Grimes, Chief, Technical Specifications Branch, has previously been informed of the submittal dates during informal discussions of our conversion plans.
