License Nos.98-534 RO 50-280 50-281 DPR-32 DPR-37 The Monthly Operating Report for Surry Power Station Units 1 and 2 for the month of August 1998, is provided in the attachment.
The Unit Shutdown and Power Reduction report for the June 1998 Monthly Operating Report 98-06 incorrectly stated that the reason for the power reduction on June 2, 1998, was for work on a governor valve. The report should have stated that the power reduction was a scheduled activity for the replacement of a belt on the isophase bus duct. The activity should have been designated with a system code of "TB" and a component code of "FAN." The governor valve repairs were performed on June 10, 1998 and did not require a power reduction greater than twenty per cent.
