RO 50-280/-281 50-338/-339 DPR-32/-37 NPF-4/-7 In NRC Inspection Report Nos. 50-338/96-10 and 50-339/96-10, dated December 2, 1996, Virginia Electric and Power Company (Virginia Power) received a notice of violation associated with the Maintenance Rule (10 CFR 50.65). In a supplemental response to that violation dated March 10, 1997 (Serial No.97-061) Virginia Power stated that corrective actions applied to both North Anna and Surry Power Stations and that full compliance with the Maintenance Rule would be achieved by June 30, 1997.
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that full compliance with the Maintenance Rule has been. achieved. A Maintenance Rule Recovery Assessment was performed in May 1997 to verify the Recovery Team's effectiveness and to as$ist management in evaluating our progress. We have proposed to meet with your staff on August 4, 1997, to discuss the status of compliance, our recovery efforts and our plans to continue to strengthen the program.
