VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY SURRY POWER STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 ANNUAL RADIOACTIVE EFFLUENT RELEASE REPORT Serial No.97-228 NUBAG Docket Nos. 50-280 50-281 License Nos. DPR-32 DPR-37 Enclosed is the Surry Power Station Annual Radioactive Effluent Release Report for January 1, 1996 through December 31, 1996. The report, submitted pursuant to Surry Power Station Technical Specification 6.6.B.3, includes a summary of the quantities of radioactive liquid and gaseous effluents and solid waste released during the 1996 calendar year, as outlined in Regulatory Guide 1.21, Revision 1, June 1974. We note however that the quantities of solid waste shipped during the calendar year are presented as an annual summary in keeping with the change in reporting requirement from semiannual to annual.
The report also includes changes to the Offsite Dose Calculation Manual in accordance with Technical Specification 6.8.8.3.
