88-324A 50-280 50-281 DPR-32 DPR-37 Per your telephone conversation with H. Mccallum of the Training Department on 06/22/88, the following actions are proposed in order to support the renewal and modification of Mr. Pickworth's SRO License to a Limited SRO License -
Fuel Handling:
- 1.
A comprehensive written examination will be developed by the Nuclear Training Department and. administered to Mr. Pickworth during July 1988.
This examination will be multi-hour in length, and encompass the fundamenta 1 s, systems, and procedures appropriate for Mr. Pi ckworth' s fuel handling duties and responsibilities;
- 2.
Mr. Pickworth will remain in an inactive license status and therefore not assume Technical Speci,fication SRO responsibilities pending resolution of his license renewal and modification; and,
- 3.
Your office will be notified by telephone and in writing of Mr.
Pickworth's performance on the comprehensive examination as soon as possible following exam grading.
An addi ti ona 1 concern expressed by your staff dealt with Mr. Pi ckworth' s involvement in licensed activities following his failure of the 1987 Comprehensive Examination.
Mr. Pickworth has not been assigned to a Technical Specification licensed position since notification by the Training Department of his unsatisfactory performance on the annual Comprehensive Examination administered on 12/21/87.
