1987, the USNRC requested additional information concerning Virginia Electric and Power Company's response to Item 4.2 parts 3 and 4 of Generic Letter 83-28.

These items pertain to life cycle determination and rep 1 acement of the Reactor Trip Breakers ( RTBs) and/ or breaker components consistent with the determined life cycle.

In our letter of October 16, 1987 (Serial No.87-593) we stated that the Westinghouse Owners Group (WOG) would address these concerns and we would submit our specific response by January 15, 1988.

Unfortunately, the WOG report has been delayed and wi 11 not be rel eased until late January, 1988.

Based on this new release date we will provide our response by March 4, 1988.

This will give us adequate time to review the report and determine any changes to our current program that may be required.

In the meantime, we will continue with our current program of breaker refurbishment to an 11as built or like new condition" each 18 months.
