Purpose:
Public meeting to Discuss Section 3.6.2 "Determination of Rupture Locations and Dynamic Effects Associated with the Postulated Rupture of Piping" of the NuScale DC application.
Topics to discuss Brief discussion of the NuScales overall pipe break analysis approach including a summary of the identified high-energy pipe break locations for NuScale plant Discussion of NuScales approach/methodology to address the potential non-conservatism of the ANS 58.2 Standard jet modeling as described in RAI 8836 (ML17153A065), Question 03.06.02-5 including details of the NuScales plant specific CFD modeling for assessing jet impingement and blast wave effect V and V of the CFD Progress made including applicable CFD preliminary results Schedule confirmation (8-24-18) for submitting RAI response including applicable FSAR markups and associated technical report
