DPR-32 DPR-37 CHANGE IN RADIOLOGICAL REPORTING REQUIREMENTS FOR WATER Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Virginia Electric and Power Company requests an amendment, in the form of changes to the Technical Specifications, to Operat-ing License Nos. DPR-32 and DPR-37 for Surry Power Station Units 1 and 2.
The proposed change to Technical Specification 4.9, "Effluent Sampling and Radiation Monitoring System" will correct an error noted in NRC Inspection Report 84-32.
This change is also being made to conform to NUREG 0472, Radio-active Effluent Technical Specifications for PWRs, Revision 3.
The proposed change is provided in Attachment 1, and the supporting Safety Evaluation is provided in Attachment 2.
The proposed change has been reviewed and approved by the Station Nuclear Safety and Operating Committee and by the Safety Evaluation and Control Staff.
As indicated in the attached Safety Evaluation, it has been determined that this request does not involve an unreviewed safety question as defined in 10 CFR 50.59 nor does it pose a significant hazards consideration as defined in 10 CFR 50. 92.
