DPR-32 DPR-37 Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(g) and as discussed with the NRC Project Manager, Virginia Electric and Power Company submits Revision 3 for Unit 1 and Revision 1 for Unit 2 of our programs for inservice inspection and testing of ASME Code systems during the second ten year interval.
These revisions are our new inservice inspection and testing programs and supercede prior submittals for the second ten year interval.
Conversations with the NRC Project Manager indicate that the NRC has completed their review of our program submittals dated December 27, 1982.
Therefore, to facilitate the NRC in your review of this submittal, a synopsis detailing the changes made is provided at the beginning of each section of the programs.
Per 10 CFR 50.55a(g)(4), the ASME Code Edition and Addenda of Section XI "in effect" for this period has been determined to be the 1980 Edition with Addenda through the Winter of 1980.
Surry Power Station was not, however, designed to meet the detailed inservice inspection and testing requirements of the ASME
- Code,Section XI.
Therefore, pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(g)(6)(i),
{ncluded in this submittal are requests for specific relief from ASME Code requirements pertaining to inservice inspection and testing.
We have evaluated this request in accordance with the criteria in 10 CFR 170.
A check in the amount of $150.00 is enclosed as an application fee.
