10 CFR 50.61 86-819A 50-280 50-281 DPR-32 DPR-37 The Virginia Electric and Power Company letter dated December 12, 1986 (Serial No.86-819) described the identification of a lower longitudinal weld seam for Unit 1 which had not previously been considered in our Pressurized Thermal Shock (PTS) submittal.

In response to this new information, Westinghouse revised the PTS calculations presented in WCAP 11015 and two affected pages from the report were submitted with the letter to show the changes to the projected pressurized thermal shock reference temperature values.

In that letter, we stated that we had planned to submit a revision to the Westinghouse report (WCAP 11015) by March 15, 1987.

As a result of identifying this weld ID error, we decided it was prudent to review as-built documentation to make sure the remainder of the welds on Unit 1 were properly identified before revising the PTS reports.

When the documentation review is completed, Westinghouse will revise the PTS report.

We now anticipate submitting the revised PTS report to you by April 30, 1987.
