RII:JPO 50-389 Florida Power and Light Company has reviewed IE Bulletin 78-0'.,

concerning the environmental qualifications of stem mounted limit switches inside the containment, and submit the following response:

Both our Nuclear Steam System Supplier and our Architect-Engineer have reviewed the safety-related valves and limit switches to be used inside the St.

Lucie 2 Reactor Containment and have determined that neither NAt1CO Model D2400X nor EA-170-302 snao lock limit switches are used in any safety-related equipment in the primary containment; therefore the subject Bulletin is not applicable to St. Lucie Unit 2.
