Subject:
Diesel Generator Alarm Circuitry R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 41 Docket No. 50-244
Dear Mr. Schwencer:
In accordance with our letter of May 16, 1977 we have reviewed the design of the main control room annunciators for diesel generator alarm conditions.
Certain alarm conditions are routine warning signals and others indicate diesel inoperative conditions.
The existing main control room annunciation does not discriminate between these types of alarms.
It has been determined that this could lead to operator misinterpretation of the diesel generator operational status.
The proposed corrective action consists of installing a "Diesel Generator Inoperative" annunciator for each diesel in addition to the exist-ing "Diesel Generator Panel" annunciators.
Very truly yours,
~p.
