Wn.LMM L S7EWART Vice President Nuclear Operations Mr. Harold R. Denton Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C.

Dear Mr. Denton:

e Nuclear Operations Department Post Office Box 26666 One James River Plaza Richmond, Virginia 23261 804* 771-4741 VIRGINIA POWEil March 15, 1985 In January 1985, Virginia Electric and Power Company (VEPCO), principal subsidiary of Dominion Resources, Inc., changed its business names to be more representative of the three states in which the company operates.

We now operate under the names Virginia Power, North Carolina Power, and West Virginia Power.

This name change will permit the company to identify more closely with its customers and to achieve a higher profile in the three-state service territory.

In keeping with this name change, we have adopted a policy of referring to the company's power stations according to their geographic location.

Because all of our nuclear facilities are located in Virginia, we request that you list the company as "Virginia Power" in all directories, compendia, correspondence, etc.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Should you have any questions regarding this name change, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely, W. L. Stewart 850325AOD20~a ~~836~80 PDR PDR H
