DPR-32 DPR-37 VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY SURRY POWER STATION UNITS NOS.1 & 2 NUREG-0737, ITEM II.D.1 PERFORMANCE TESTING OF RELIEF AND SAFETY VALVES REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION In our letter dated May 1, 1984, Serial No. 106, we stated that we would forward the requested information on performance testing of relief and safety valves by September 28, 1984.
In a September 27, 1984, telephone call between Mr. Don Neighbors, NRC Surry Project Manager and Vepco 1s Mr. David Fortin, Mr.
Fortin requested additional time to allow adequate review of the information to assure its accuracy before forwarding to the NRC.
As noted, the information was only recently received from the vendor and consultant architect-engineer and an adequate review has not yet been completed by Vepco.
It was also noted that the response to question 17 was inadvertently omitted during the vendor 1s review and will also require the additional time to be prepared.
This is to confirm Vepco 1 s request for an extension to complete its review of the information.
As stated in the referenced phone call, the requested information will be submitted, including the response to question 17, on or before October 31, 1984.
