Just a note for the record that the staff communicated to NuScale during the non-public clarification call on May 7, 2018, involving draft RAI 9461, what the staff considers to be adequate to eliminate the need for issuance of RAI 9461 as final, which NuScale understood and agreed to.

As a result of todays clarification call on draft eRAI 9461, NuScale plans to revise the original response to eRAI 9182. The revised response letter will address the eRAI 9182 related items discussed with the Staff at public meetings held January 24th & 31st 2018 (ML18044A132).

NuScale also plans to submit a separate letter with unilateral DCA changes to incorporate feedback from the Staff related to eRAIs 9179 and 9182 from the same January 24th & 31st 2018 public meetings. This letter will also address the Staffs feedback on NuScales eRAI 9186 response, discussed at the March 13th 2018 public meeting.

NuScale intends to provide this correspondence to the NRC by June 8, 2018. If you have any questions on this correspondence, please contact either myself or Marty Bryan.
