EXEMPTION TO 10 CFR 50.48(c)(4)
Serial No. 728B NO/WDC:cfm Docket No. 50-281 License No. DPR-37 INSTALLATION SCHEDULE FOR APPENDIX R TO 10 CFR 50, SECTION III.G.3 SURRY POWER STATION UNIT NO. 2 This letter supplements our letter dated May 3, 1983 (Serial No. 728A) in which Vepco requested an exemption to 10 CFR 50.48(c) (4) because of a revision in the refueling outage schedule for Surry Unit 2.
Due to power needs, the refueling outage for Surry Unit 2 has been delayed until the completion of the Surry Unit 1 refueling outage.
The Surry Unit 2 outage previously scheduled for May 1,
1983 is now scheduled to commence approximately June 27, 1983.
The 10 CFR 50. 48 (c) ( 4) exemption request was to allow Appendix R modifications for Surry Unit 2 to be completed during the 2nd refueling outage after May 17, 1983.
The 2nd refueling outage after May 17, 1983 for Surry Unit 2 is presently scheduled to begin in February, 1985.
