DPR-32 DPR-37 AMENDMENT TO OPERATING LICENSES DPR-32 AND DPR-37 SURRY POWER STATION UNIT NO. 1 AND 2 PROPOSED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, the Virginia Electric and Power Company requests an amendment, in the form of changes to the Technical Specifications, to Operating Licenses DPR-32 and DPR-37 for the Surry Power Station, Unit No. 1 and 2.
The proposed changes are enclosed.
The proposed change revises Specification 3.11 by adding 3.11.B.lb and 3.11.B.lc.
T.S. 3.11.B.lb provides action to be taken if the limit given in T. S. 3.11. B. la is exceeded.
T. S. 3.11. B. le exempts T. S. 3.11. B. la from the provisions of T.S. 6.6.2.a.
These changes modify reporting and notification requirements.
The instantaneous release limit is not affected.
Additionally this change will result in a specification which more closely resembles the current standard Technical Specifications.
The requested change has been reviewed and approved by the Station Nuclear Safety and Operating Committee and the Safety Evaluation and Control Staff.
It has been determined that this request does not involve an unreviewed safety question.
We have evaluated this request in accordance with the criteria in 10 CFR 170.22 and it has been determined that a class III license amendment fee is required.
A voucher check in the amount of $4,400 is enclosed in payment of the required fee.
