149/02080, dated March 31, 1980, for North Anna 1 and Surry 1 and 2, respective-ly, provided commitments for implementation of the Short Term Requirement for redundant indication of Emergency Condensate Storage Tank water level.

We are presently procuring materials to accomplish these modifications and are providing the following updated schedule for completion of these changes.

Surry Units 1 and 2 We anticipate receipt of equipment and materials necessary to implement the short term requirement of redundant level indication during September, 1980.

We expect to accomplish the installation of the redundant indication during the first outage of sufficient duration following receipt of materials.

North Anna Unit 1 We expect delivery of equipment needed to accomplish the short term requirement of redundant indication by the end of October, 1980.

Installa-tion will be scheduled for the first outage of sufficient length following receipt of materials.

North Anna Unit 2 Installation of modifications to fulfill the short term requirements is proceeding at this time.

We expect that, if no problems are encountered, these modifications will be completed shortly.

All Units We are presently evaluating environmental qualification of control room in-dicators to be used in the long term to satisfy the requirement for a safety-grade Class lE indication system.

Procurement schedules are not known at this time, but implementation of the long term requirements will be scheduled for the first outage of sufficient duration following receipt of qualified equipment.
