DPR-37 SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION FOR AMENDMENT TO OPERATING LICENSE SURRY POWER STATION UNIT NO. 2 PROPOSED JECHN(CAL SPECIFICATIONS CHANGE NO. 78 In our letter to you of October 25, 1979, Serial No. 388A, we committed to confirmation of the Low Head Safety Injection flowrate information provided therein. Testing performed recently at Surry Unit 2 and at the Utah State Water Research Lahoratory has shown that the modified Low Head Safety Injec-tion system will perform as indicated in the attached figure.
This figure updates the minimum expected flowrate information in our October letter (Serial No. 388A) and reflects operation of the system as installed. This confirms that the Low Head Safety Injection flowrate assumed in the LOCA-ECCS evaluation is conservative with respect to the minimum expected flowrate of the actual system.
