Dear Mr. Grimes:
Serial No. 317 LQA/PRB:pwc Docket Nos. 50-280 50-281 50-338 50-339 REVISION TO EMERGENCY PLANS SURRY AND NORTH ANNA POWER STATIONS It was requested by Mr. Roe at our meeting with the joint NRC/FEMA team reviewing Surry Emergency Preparedness at Williams-burg, VA on March 26th and 27th, that we inform you of the date we will be prepared to submit a revised version of the North Anna and Surry Power Stations Emergency Plans.
We are now preparing the revised version of the North Anna Emergency Plan in accordance with the Criteria in NUREG-0654.
We estimate that this plan will be submitted to you on May 1, 1980.
The Surry Emergency Plan will be submitted to you on June. 2, 1980.
The plan will be implemented within 90 days following acceptance by your staff.
This time is needed for the preparation of new procedures and training our personnel.
