AMENDMENT 28 - APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO AMEND CHAPTER 5 (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFIER NUMBER L-2017-LLA-0122)
Dear Mr. Terry:
This refers to your letter number 17-101, dated December 13, 2017 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession Number ML17353A213), which submitted a request to amend Chapter 5, Nuclear Criticality Safety, of the license application.
The request proposed a total of nine changes to procedures, computer codes, and calculations listed in Chapter 5, and provided their justification. The letter also furnished changed pages to replace Chapter 5 in its entirety. The license amendment request was supplemented with a revised amendment request transmitted by your letter 18-020, dated April 3, 2018 (ADAMS ML18096A694) and a response to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) Request for Additional Information provided by your letter 18-026, dated May 3, 2018 (ADAMS ML18128A271).
The NRC staff has completed its review of the request and approves the request. A discussion of the NRC review is provided in Enclosure 3 to this letter.
Chapter 5 of the License Application will be updated to include the revised text.
Pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 70, Condition S-1 of Materials License SNM-42 is hereby amended to include the dates of December 13, 2017, April 3, 2018, and May 3, 2018.
Enterprise Project Identifier Number L-2017-LLA-0122 is CLOSED.
