Request for Information Regarding Westinghouse Presentation of 10-30-79 During the meeting held at the NRC Offices in Bethesda on 12-17-79 the Utilities were requested to supply the Staff with information regarding the presentation given by Westinghouse in Charlotte, N.C., on 10-30-79.
Westing-house is currently conducting studies relative to Turbine Missile Probability and Turbine Missile Energy and should have the results by late January, 1980.
At the conclusion of the Westinghouse studies now in progress, we will reanalyze our turbine discs for their destructive potential, incorporating this new information into the analysis and submit to the staff a summary of our findings and a program for corrective action should that become necessary.
