STATUS OF RECOMMENDATIONS: AUDIT OF NRCS PMDA AND DRMA FUNCTIONS TO IDENTIFY PROGRAM EFFICIENCIES (OIG-17-A-18)
REFERENCE:
OFFICE OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR OPERATIONS MEMORANDUM DATED MARCH 30, 2018 Attached is the Office of the Inspector Generals (OIG) analysis and status of the recommendation as discussed in the agencys response dated March 30, 2018. Based on this response, OIGs recommendation remains in resolved status. Please provide a status update on the resolved recommendation by September 30, 2018.

Audit Report AUDIT OF NRCS PMDA AND DRMA FUNCTIONS TO IDENTIFY PROGRAM EFFICIENCIES OIG-17-A-18 Status of Recommendation OIG Recommendation: Complete implementation of all Mission Support Task Force recommendations that may assist in optimizing the use of resources and result in improving standardization and centralization throughout the agency.
Agency Response Dated March 30, 2018: The NRC agrees with this recommendation. Staff has been making progress and will continue to implement all of the Mission Support Task Force recommendations.
OIG Analysis: The proposed corrective action addresses the intent of OIGs recommendation. Closure of OIGs recommendation is contingent on agency efforts to complete implementation of the 27 recommendations made by the Mission Support Task Force. The agency has completed action on Mission Support Task Force Recommendations 1, 3-4, 9-11, 14, 17-18, and 23-24, and 27. Please provide a status update on agency efforts to complete the remaining Mission Support Task Force recommendations by September 30, 2018.
Status: Resolved.
