RII:JPO 50-335 50-250 50-251 We have reviewed IE Bulletin 78-10 which described a potential problem we might encounter on early model Bergen-Paterson hydraulic snubbers.
We have surveyed the hydraulic snubbers at our facilities and would like to report the following information:

Turke Point Units 3 and 4 We have checked the serial numbers of the Unit 3 hydraulic snubbers and the Unit 4 accessible (outside containment) hydraulic snubbers.
Five Unit 3 snubbers with suspect serial nuIIbers have been identified.
Tne serial number on one Unit 3 snubber was unreadable, so the snubber is assumed to be suspect.
The springs on the six suspect Unit 3 snubbers will be replaced during the next Unit 3 refueling outage.
No suspect Unit 4 snubbers have been identified.
The serial numbers of the Unit 4 inaccessible (inside containment) hydraulic snubbers will be checked during the current Unit 4 refueling outage.
