U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Corrimjsslon Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555-0001 Southern Nuclear Operating Company Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Unit 3 and Unit 4 Notice of Uncompleted ITAAC 225-davs Prior to Initial Fuel Load Item 2.6.02.02c [Index Number 5951 Ladies and Gentlemen:
Pursuant to 10 CFR 52.99(c)(3), Southern NuclearOperating Company hereby notifiesthe NRC that as of May 1, 2018, Vogtle Electric Generating Plant(VEGP) Unit 3 and Unit 4 Uncompleted Inspections, Tests, Analyses, and Acceptance Criteria (ITAAC) Item 2.6.02.02c [Index Number 595]
has not been completed greater than 225-days prior to initial fuel load. The Enclosure describes the planforcompleting this ITAAC. Southern Nuclear Operating Companywill, at a later date, provide additional notifications for ITAAC that have not been completed 225-days prior to initial fuel load.
This notification is informed by the guidance described in NEI 08-01, Industry Guideline for the ITAAC Closure Process Under 10 CFR Part 52, which was endorsed by the NRC in Regulatory Guide 1.215. In accordance with NEI 08-01, this notification includes ITAACfor which required inspections, tests, or analyses have not been performed or have been onlypartially completed. All ITAAC will be fully completed and allSection 52.99(c)(1) ITAAC Closure Notifications will be submitted to NRCto support the Commission finding that all acceptance criteria are met priorto plant operation, as required by 10 CFR 52.103(g).
This letter contains no new NRC regulatory commitments.
If there are any questions, please contact Tom Petrak at 706-848-1575.

U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ND-18-0640 Enclosure Page 2 of 4 ITAAC Statement Design Commitment 2.c) Each EDSloadgroup 1, 2,3, and 4 inverter suppliesthe corresponding ac load.
Insoections/Tests/Analvses Testingofeach as-built inverter will be performed byapplying a simulatedor real load, or a combination of simulated or real loads, equivalent to a resistive load greater than 55 kW.
Acceotance Criteria Each inverter provides a line-to-line outputvoltage of208 +/- 2% Vat a frequencyof60 +/- 0.5%
Hz.
ITAAC Completion Description Testing is performed inaccordance with Unit 3 and Unit 4 component test package workorders (References 1 and 2) to demonstrate that each Non-Class 1E direct current (dc) and Uninterruptible Power SupplySystem (EDS) load group 1, 2,3, and 4 inverteridentified inthe Combined License (COL) AppendixC, Table 2.6.2-2 (Attachment A) supplies its corresponding alternating current (ac) load.
A load test is performed on each EDS inverter by applying a simulated load greater than the inverter design capacity of 55 kilowatts (kW). Inverteroutput voltage, frequency, and power are continuously monitored duringthe test and after stabilization of load, recorded on data sheets included inthe component test package workorders (References 1 and 2). Output voltage is verifiedto meet the specified acceptance criteria of 208 +/- 2% Volts (V) at a frequency of 60 +/-
0.5% Hertz (Hz) withthe specified load applied. The recorded voltage and frequency values are identified in Attachment A for each EDS inverter.
The Unit3 and Unit4 component test results confirm that each inverter provides a line-to-line output voltage of 208 +/- 2% V at a frequency of 60 +/- 0.5% Hz.
The Unit3 and Unit4 component test package workorders (References 1 and 2, respectively) are available for NRC inspection as part of the Unit 3 and Unit4 ITAAC 2.6.02.02c Completion Packages (References 3 and 4, respectively).
List of ITAAC Findings Inaccordance with plant procedures for ITAAC completion. Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) performed a reviewof allfindings pertainingto the subject ITAAC and associated corrective actions. This review found there are no relevant ITAACfindings associated with this ITAAC.
