UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555-0001 May 1,2018 Mr. Robin DeLaBarre Office of Nuclear Energy, Safety
& Security, Room 33200 HST Bureau of International Security
& Nonproliferation U.S. Department of State 2201 C Street, NW Washington, DC 20520
Dear Mr. DeLaBarre:
Enclosed is an application, dated March 9, 2018, received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), from Louisiana Energy Services, LLC, requesting an amendment to its existing license, XC0M1239/01. The license presently authorizes the licensee to return nuclear auxiliary systems, components and subassemblies for gas centrifuge enrichment facilities to the original manufacturers in Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom for repair or replacement and appropriate disposition.
The purpose of the amendment is to: 1) update the description of materials; and 2) change the licensee point of contact to Wyatt Padgett.
Since no substantive changes to the terms and conditions of the existing license are requested, our office is processing this as a minor amendment. Therefore, the NRC intends to issue the license after the required 30-day review period.
SI Peter J. HabiyiVorst, Chief Export Controls and Nonproliferation Branch Office of International Programs
