Dear Hr. Denton:

Serial No. 085 PO/DLB:scj Docket Nos.: 50-280 50-281 License Nos.: DPR-32 DPR-37 This letter provides additional information on the permanent solution to the low head safety injection and outside recirculation spray pump net positive suction head problems. is a tabulated summary of mass and energy release data which has been previously submitted in graphical form.

We have determined that flow restricting venturies for the low head safety injection (LHSI) hot leg lines are not required for the final NPSH fix.

Accordingly, flow restricting orifices for the hot leg lines have been deleted from the scope of the NPSH modification. presents the basis for this deletion.
