EVENT DESCRIPTION (Continued) service in the other SI lines were taken.

The 1A2 SI header was drained and the cracked joint cut out.

A new section of drain line was re-welded in place.

The new weld was inspected and hydro-statically tested as required by Technical Specification 4.4.10.lb.

The radiography and liquid penetrant inspections of eight joints in the four SI header drain lines did not show any crack defects other than the leaking weld.

The leak was a single occurrence that developed from a defective interior weld pass made during construction and is not considered generic to this system.
