STAFF REQUIREMENTS - MEETING WITH ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON REACTOR SAFEGUARDS, 10:00 A.M.,

THURSDAY, APRIL 5, 2018, COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM, ONE WHITE FLINT NORTH, ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)

The Commission met with the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) to discuss issues recently reviewed by the Committee. The ACRS presented updates on the following specific items: 1) NuScale Power Exemption Request from 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix A, General Design Criterion 27, Combined Reactivity Control Systems Capability; 2) Revision 3 to Regulatory Guide 1.174; 3) State-of-the-Art Reactor Consequence Analyses (SOARCA)

Project: Sequoyah Integrated Deterministic and Uncertainty Analyses; 4) Report on the Safety Aspects of the Construction Permit Application for Northwest Medical Isotopes, LLC, Radioisotope Production Facility; and 5) Biennial Review and Evaluation of the NRC Safety Research Program.

There were no requirements identified for action.
