ACKNOWLEDGMENT LETTER

Dear Mr. Noss:

By letter dated January 30, 2018, AREVA Federal Services LLC (AFS) submitted an application in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 71 to amend Certificate of Compliance No. 9341 for the Model No. BRR package per the details of the submitted revision of the safety analysis report for the BRR package, Revision 11. The cover letter to this request and a publicly available version of the report can be found in our agencys document database, the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at accession numbers ML18044A148 and ML18044A164, respectively.

This letter acknowledges receipt of your application and informs you that the application appears to contain the necessary information to begin our technical review. We have established a schedule for the technical review of your amendment request. The schedule allows for the staff to issue a possible request for additional information by mid-June 2018, and a certificate of revised compliance and safety evaluation report by the end of October, based on AFS responding to a request for additional information by the end of July 2018. The staff estimates that completing the safety review of this application will require approximately 200 staff review hours.
