Hope Creek and Salem Generating Stations
- Items to be discussed for Hope Creek
- 1. In a letter dated June 4, 1998, you committed to implement the Joint Owners Group (JOG) motor-operated valve (MOV) Periodic Verification Program as described in Topical Report NEDC-32719 (Revision 2). Discuss the JOG program implementation schedule dates.
- 2. In a letter dated May 27, 1999, you stated that the Boiling Water Reactor Owners Group (BWROG) is presently working on an evaluation methodology for de-powered Limitorque motor operated valves and that the methodology will be reviewed and appropriate actions taken based on the results. Discuss any preliminary actions that have been taken to review de-powered motor actuator capability.
Items to be discussed for Salem
- 1. Confirm that there are no de-powered motor actuators in the Salem GL 96-0~ program.
Items to be discussed for both Hope Creek and Salem
- 1. In a letter dated May 27, 1999, you stated that a formal engineering evaluation to summarize and finalize the results of your review of the Limitorque Technical Update 98-01 would be complete by June 30, 1999. Discuss the results of the engineering evaluation.
