Dear Ms. Peterson:
I am responding to your letter of April 6, 2018, in which you request that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) convene a public meeting to discuss Entergys application for relief from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) code to repair a degraded reactor vessel head penetration nozzle.
At your request, we conducted the public meeting on Thursday, April 12, 2018. During the meeting the NRC presented the basis for approving Entergys alternative repair methodology and responded to questions and comments from New York as well as the public. A summary of the meeting will be issued within 30 days.
