UPDATED FINAL SAFETY ANALYSIS REPORT, REVISION 15 SALEM GENERATING STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 DOCKET NOS. 50-272 and 50-311 Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) hereby submits Revision No. 15 to the Salem Generating Station Updated Final Safety Analysis Report {UFSAR) in accordance with the requirements of 10CFR50.7l{e).

Revision No. 15 to the Salem UFSAR contains identified text, table and figure changes required to reflect the plant configuration as of December 12, 1995, six months prior to this submittal.

In addition, there are corrections of typographical errors and general editorial changes.

A brief summary and explanation of each change is provided in an attachment to facilitate your review.

Revision No. 15 is being issued 24 months after the prior full Revision No. 13, which was issued on June 12, 1994.

Revision No.

14 was issued on December 2*9, 1995, as an interim revision to incorporate backlog UFSAR changes.

The Salem UFSAR revisions are normally planned for six months after the Salem Unit 1 refueling outages, but the 24 month limit has been reached prior to the end of the current extended outage.
