WITHDRAWAL OF REQUEST FOR APPROVAL, USE OF ASME CODE CASE N498-2 SALEM AND HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATIONS DOCKET NOS. 50-272, 50-311 AND 50-354 In letters dated September 20, 1995 and October 17, 1995, Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) requested approval to use ASME-approved Code Case N498-2, "Alternative Requirements for 10-Year System Hydrostatic Testing for Class l, 2 and 3 Systems" at our Salem and Hope Creek Stations prior to the normal NRC review of suitability for use of that Code Case.
However, based upon our conversations with the NRC, PSE&G has decided to withdraw the request until such time that the NRC completes its normal review.
