Salem Generating s.tations Docket Nos. 50-272 and 50-311 Request to Amend the Facility Operating License License Change Request 94-19 The subject request was submitted tb the NRC by Public Service Electric and Gas on September 20, 1994.

The request proposes to reduce the secondary side steam pressure required for surveillance testing of the steam turbine driven Auxiliary Feedwater Pump for Salem Units 1 and 2.

The proposed change also clarifies the time required to perform the steam turbine driven Auxiliary Feedwater Pump surveillance test when entering Mode 3.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Nuclear Engineering (BNE) has reviewed the request in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.91(b) and has no comments.
