The subject request was submitted to the NRC by PSE&G letter dated January 21, 1994.
The request proposes to revise Technical Specification 3. 8. 2. 3 for both Salem Unit 1 and Salem Unit 2 to include the battery acceptance criteria, corresponding allowed outage times and additional surveillance requirements recommended in NUREG-1431, Standard Technical Specifications -
Westinghouse Plants.
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and Energy's Bureau of Nuclear Engineering (BNE) has reviewed the request in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.91(b) and has no comments.
