Salem Generating station Units Nos. 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-272 and 50-311 Amendment to the Facility Operating License License Change Request 93-02 The subject request was submitted to the NRC by PSE&G on April 28, 1993 and supplemented on three occasions, most recently on February 2, 1994.
The request proposes to revise portions_ of the Salem Units 1 and 2 Technical Specifications related to spent fuel storage because of the proposed replacement of nine high density fuel storage racks with nine maximum density fuel storage racks.
This rack replacement will extend the date when full core discharge capacity is no longer available for Salem Unit 1 from 1998 to 2008 and for Salem Unit 2 from 2002 to 2012. -
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and Energy's Bureau of Nuclear Engineering (BNE) has reviewed the request and the-supplemental information in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.91(b) and has no comments.
