Gas Company ( PSE &G) submitted the subject ',l icerise. change request to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission _:(NRC).,. The, letter is a -revision of PSE&G's request of August 4, 1993 (NLR-N93075), in response to NRC staff comments received from the Licensing Project Manager for the Salem Generating Station, Mr. J. c. Stone.

The requested *change would extend the Allowed Outage Time (AOT) that the Salem Unit 2 may operate with one inoperable offsite power circuit, to allow fer switchyard rr1cdifications.

It would also modify the Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) testing requirements to exempt the Unit 2 EDG from repetitive testing when an offsite power circuit is de-energized for implementation of switchyard modifications.

Per 10 CFR 50.9l(b) requirements, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and Energy's (NJDEP&E) Bureau of Nuclear Engineering (BNE)' reviewed* the License Change'* Request (which included the *-revi*sed propbsed*amendment, -* '.PSE&G 1*s* re'asohed*analysis about no significant hazards consideration, and PSE&G's response to NRC's comments).

Based on this review, the BNE has no comments on the proposed:~ request...
