NRC BULLETIN 88-11 PRESSURIZER SURGE LINE THERMAL STRATIFICATION SALEM GENERATING STATION UNIT.NO. 2 DOCKET NO. 50-311 By letter dated December J,O, 1992 (ref: NLR-N92164), Public Service Electric & Gas Company (PSE&G) revised its response to Bulletin 88-11.
WCAP-129l3, Revision 1, was submitted as an en9losure to the letter.
Based on the revised WCAP, PSE&G withdrew its commitment to perform spring hanger modifications and committed to perform walkdown measurements of the Pressurizer Surge Line spring hanger travel and pipe whip restraints during the seventh refueling outage.
PSE&G hereby confirms the completion of the required walkdown me*asurements.
These walkdowns were performed during the on-going seventh refueling outage.
The results of these walkdowns indicate that the spring hanger displacements and whip_ restraints do not show any adverse results and are satis.factory.
No further actions have been identified at this time.
However, PSE&G will perform walkdowns during the eighth refueling outage, currently scheduled for Fall, 1994 to provide data_ for trend analysi~.
