Report (S ER; Accession
number ML 18039A825)
for the Large An imal Research Station (LARS). The SER was prepared by the NRC based on info rma tion I provi ded in De cem ber 2016 and May 2017, and sho ws that the LARS site meets the criteria for w1re stri cted release. I wish to supersede
the license amendment
request (control nu mb er 590694) in which I asked for restricted
release of the LARS facility until 2020, followed by unrestricted
release. Based on the conclusions
made in the SER, I am requesting
that the LARS site be released for unrestricted
use immediate l y. UAF will submit a Decommissioning
Plan for the old burial that remains on the LARS site. The burial is physically
separated
from the areas utilized by animals. Th e r e qu est to decommission
this area will be made separately
