REQUEST FOR DISCRETIONARY ENF.ORCEMENT TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 3.8.1.1 FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE DPR-75 SALEM GENERATING STATION UNIT NO. 2 DOCKET NO. 50-311 As a result of the recent shutdown of Salem Unit 2, concurrent with Unit 1 refueling outage, Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) will perform the necessary degassing of the No. 1 Station Power Transformer while both units are in a mode requiring only one offsite power supply.

Therefore, PSE&G hereby withdraws its request for discretionary enforcement of Technical Specification Action Statement 3.8.1.1.a (PSE&G letter to NRC dated October 13, 1987).

PSE&G is appreciative of the attention and time you have given this issue.
