Muller, Director BWR Project Directorate #2 Division of BWR Licensing ATLANTIC CITY ELECTRIC COMPANY FINANCIAL QUALIFICATIONS Atlantic City Electric Company (ACEC) is a co-owner (7.51%) and co-licensee with Philadelphia Electric Company (PECo), Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE & G), and Delmarva Power and Light Company (DP & L) for the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS), Units 2 and 3.
ACEC is also a co-owner (7.41%), and co-licensee with the other above utilities for the Salem Nuclear Generating Station (SNGS), Units 1 and 2.
ACEC is a co-owner (5%) and co-licensee with PSE & G for Hope Creek Generating Station (HCGS), Unit 1.
By letter dated December 29, 1986, (Enclosure 1) PECo transmitted a letter from ACEC to us, including a petition to the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU), informing us of ACEC 1s proposed corporate reorganization by forming a holding company, Atlantic Energy, Inc., to hold all of the voting stock of ACEC.
A similar letter dated December 31 (Enclosure 2) was sent to us by PSE & G with respect to Salem 1 and 2 and Hope Creek 1.
The enclosed letters and report summarize the effect of the restructuring on the financial resources of ACES.
Please review this information and provide us a summary of your findings.
