EMERGENCY OPERATING PROCEDURES WRITER'S GUIDE SALEM GENERATING STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 DOCKET NOS. 50-272.AND 50-311 Attached for your review is a copy of the revised Writer's Guide for preparation of Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP's).
This is being submitted as discussed during our meeting with R. J.
Eckenrode and D. c. Fischer on September 23, 1986.
This revision of the Writer's Guide incorporates instructions for preparation of procedures using flow chart methodology.
As discussed in a PSE&G letter to Mr. S. Varga dated March 31, 1986, the EOP's are being rewritten based on the revised Writer's Guide.
PSE&G originally stated that the procedures would be rewritten by February 1987 based on NRC approval of the Writer's Guide by August 1986.
The revised EOPs will be in use within 6 months of NRC approval of the enclosed document.
