Pursuant to our telephone conversation with Mr. D. C. Fischer, of your staff, on February 10, 1986, this letter confirms and corrects an administrative error within the Salem Unit Nos. 1 and 2 Te~hnical Specifications.
The correction involves the Low-Low Steam Generator Level setpoint, which has inputs to two functions: Reactor Trip and Auxiliary Feedwater Pump Start.
In Technical Specifications Table 2.2-1, Reactor Trip System Instrumentation Trip Setpoints, the Low-Low Steam Generator Level trip setpoints were revised by Amendments 53 and 21 for Salem Units 1 and 2 respectively as requested in our License Change Request, LCR 83-06, dated May 4, 1983.
However, the same setpoints in Table 3.3-4, Engineered Safety Feature Actuation System Instrumentation Trip Setpoints, for start of the Auxiliary Feedwater Pumps, were inadvertently omitted from our License Change Request.
As we have been advised that this correction may be made without the submittal of an additional amendment request, have enclosed corrected pages to the Salem Technical Specifications for disposition as you deem appropriate.
