Dear Dr. Murley:
QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM DESCRIPTION SALEM GENERATING STATION NO. 1 AND 2 UNITS DOCKET NOS. 50-272 AND 50-311 The revised Operational Quality Assurance Program description (Attachment 1) is hereby submitted in accordance with the requirements of 10CFR50.54.
The document incorporates those changes identified in our letter dated December 6, 1984 as well as editorial changes to correct typographical errors and enhance readability.
Justifications for the significant changes are provided in Attachment 2.
The changes do not involve a reduction in commitments made to the Operational Quality Assurance Program previously accepted by the NRC.
The Quality Assurance Program continues to satisfy the criteria of 10CFR50 Appendix B.
Additionally, PSE&G is currently reorganizing its Nuclear Department.
Appropriate changes to the Operational Quality Assurance Program description will be submitted in the near future.
