Dear Dr. Murley:
PSE&G ACTION PLAN PROGRAM July 25, 1985 At our April 19, 1985 meeting with you on the PSE&G Action Plan, we reported anticipated completion of the plan by the end of June 1985.
All Action Plans have been completed and are now considered closed with the exception of Action Plan 2.7.3 "Information Systems."
The objective of Action Plan *2.~.3 was to "Determine the management information needs of the Nuclear Department, evaluate how these needs can be met via a common data base management system and construct a plan to implement an integrated system."
This objective has been met through the establishment of organi-zational responsibilities, allocation of appropriate staffing, implementation of procedural controls, and modification of programs for consistent information management and systems integration.
The number of information systems to be developed has been reduced to specific function oriented Nuclear Department wide programs (managed maintenance, configuration management, commitment management, and the living schedule) and manual integration and associated administrative controls.
These systems satisfy the needs of the Nuclear Department and the intent of the Action Plan.
We have therefore deleted this Action Plan from the program.

7-25-85 We are planning a final meeting to review the Action Plan program and resultant improvements in systems and operation.
This last meeting is tentatively planned for early September 1985.
