Dear Mr. Varga:

ADDITONAL INFORMATION REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE DPR-75 UNIT NO. 2 SALEM GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-311 As a result of the recent generator failure at Salem Unit No.

2, we have decided to refuel the unit during this current outage.

The unit is scheduled to return to service on April 1, 1985 to commence cycle 3 operation.

Our letter dated October 15, 1984 transmitted a request for amendment to Facility Operating License DPR-75 for Salem Unit No. 2 (LCR-84-08).

This request concerned a revision to Technical Specifications, Appendix A, Section 3.2.2, revising Figure 3.2.2, 11 K(Z) Normalized Fo(Z) as a Function of Core Height".

Expedited review of this amendment is requested to facilitate our scheduled return to power operation on Salem Unit No. 2.
