REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT FACILITY OPERATING LICENSES UNIT NOS: l AND 2 SALEM GENERATING STATION DOCKET NOS. 50-272 AND 50-311 In accordance with the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended and the regulations thereunder, we hereby transmit copies of our request for amendment and our analyses of the changes to Facility Operating License DPR-70 for Salem Generating Station, Unit No. 1 and Facility Operating License DPR-75 for Salem Generating Station, Unit No. 2.
This amendment request consists of a revision to Technical Specifications, Appendix A, Section 6, updating our Nuclear Department organization, SORC responsibilities, membership, and quorum requirements.
Technical Review and Control, Nuclear Safety Review and a clarification of shift composition**
requirements are also included as a part of this request.
These changes to our safety review-process are expected to be in place for implementation by May 1, 1985.
It is requested that issuance of these amended Technical Specifications be coordinated with this date.
