BRIEFING ON STATUS OF SALEM, 10:00 A.M., TUESDAY, APRIL 10, 1984, COMMISSIONERS' CONFERENCE ROOM, D.C. OFFICE (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)
The Commission was briefed by staff (NRR and Region I) on the status of Salem and the generic actions which the staff gener~ted as a result of the failure to scram events that occurred there in February, 1983.
The Commission also was briefed by the following representatives of Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) on the licensee's views on the status of the plant:
Harold Sonn, President and CEO PSE&G Richard Eckert, Senior Vice President Energy Supply and Engineering, PSE&G Richard Uderitz, Vice President-Nuclear PSE&G The Commission requested that the staff provide each Com~
missioner with a copy of the Management Analysis Corporation (MAC) report prepared under contract to PSE&G.

The Commission requested that staff obtain from PSE&G a comparison chart exhibiting the PSE&G action plan items on one side and the MAC recommendations on the other.
